Republican candidate Tim Michels makes last-minute stop in La Crosse to rally voters

Says he expects gubernatorial race to be decided quickly

LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) – Republican Gubernatorial Candidate Tim Michels is making his final visits to Wisconsin communities hours before polls open.

The business owner stopped by Castaways to meet voters.

According to the latest Marquette Law School poll, the race for Wisconsin’s governor is in a dead heat.

When asked if he’d know when he’d win or need to concede the election, Michels was confident the election would come to a quick end.

“Well, typically what happens is the loser calls the winner, and they concede,” said Michels. “So, I’m expecting a call sometime earlier, everything’s relative.”

Michels did not indicate he wouldn’t accept the results of the election.

In his speech to voters on Monday night, he did say he wants to bring election integrity back to the state.

In the last election, there was no proven widespread voter fraud.
