Report: Vikings sign former Ravens DT Michael Pierce
Ian Rapoport of NFL Network has reported the Vikings are signing former Ravens defensive tackle Michael Pierce to a three-year deal worth around $27 million, including $18 million guaranteed.
Pierce is a former undrafted free agent out of Samford. He made 30 starts in four seasons in Baltimore and is lauded as a solid run stopper.
Pierce will replace two-time Pro Bowler Linval Joseph, whom the Vikings cut last week to save cap space. Joseph agreed to a two-year, $17 million deal with the Chargers earlier on Wednesday.
