Report: Packers adding WR Devin Funchess

A report from NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero Tuesday says the Packers are signing 25-year-old wide receiver Devin Funchess. Terms of any signing have not been released.

Funchess is a 6-foot-4, 225-pound receiver whom the Panthers drafted in the second round back in 2015. After the Panthers didn’t re-sign him when his rookie contract was up, he signed a one-year deal with the Colts. Funchess played just one game before suffering a broken collarbone that put him on IR.

Funchess’s best season was in 2017 when he caught 63 passes for 840 yards and 8 touchdowns. That is the only time he recorded more than 50 catches in an NFL season.
