Rep. Ron Kind urging people to report their flooding damages

As FEMA continues its assessment of flooding damage in our area, those waiting for assistance may be able to help the process.

Congressman Ron Kind says reporting damages can help Governor Scott Walker request federal aid. Kind says the request should be made soon as well.

“I’m sure there’s going to be an appropriation bill coming up dealing with Hurricane Florence. We don’t want to be left behind with that. When that train leaves that station, we need our flood damages right there so that we can get the assistance into this area to help people as soon as possible,” said Kind.

Kind’s office is urging homeowners to report damage to homes and property by calling 211. Farmers should also report all crop, land, and building damage, and livestock deaths to their county’s Farm Service Agency.
