Rep. Kind holds potentially last annual corn roast
WEST SALEM, Wis. (WKBT) — Outgoing U.S. House Representative Ron Kind offered support for Democratic candidates in his 19th annual old fashioned corn roast.
The event at the La Crosse County Fairgrounds could be the last edition, since Kind is not running for re-election.
As his time in Congress winds down, Kind says a tradition like this highlights what makes the coulee region a special place to serve.
“Really a celebration of raising a family in western Wisconsin, community and family coming together anticipating the fall harvest, and encouraging people to get out and vote this election cycle,” Rep. Kind said.
Governor Evers, Mandela Barnes, and Brad Pfaff–Kind’s hand-picked candidate for his House seat–all made an appearance.
