Renovations to Winona’s Levee Park delayed following weather, negotiations
WINONA, Minn. (WKBT) — Long-awaited renovations to Winona’s riverfront park are being delayed.
Completion of the Levee Park and Main Street Gateway project was pushed back to next spring.
The project was originally scheduled to finish in early October, but weather and landscaping negotiations delayed the construction. Ground was broken on the $2.4 million construction project this summer.
The Gateway project began as a way to connect Winona’s downtown area with the Mississippi River.
