Renovations for elementary, high schools in Black River Falls

Work on Forrest Street Elementary will include a two story addition that will include an updated entrance, dedicated cafeteria and added classroom space.

BLACK RIVER FALLS, Wis. (WKBT) – It’s a day of celebration for students in Jackson County.

The School District of Black River Falls held a ceremony Tuesday to celebrate the start of a renovation effort on two schools.

Work on Forrest Street Elementary will include a two story addition.

It will include an updated entrance, dedicated cafeteria and added classroom space.

“Forrest Street Early Learning Center has been crowded, to say the least. It’s where our youngest bodies are. But our smallest bodies have a lot of stuff that go along with it,” said School District of Black River Falls superintendent Shelly Severson.

The district is also celebrating the start of an addition to the high school.

The renovations follow a 2020 referendum.
