Regis beats Bangor Baseball in State final

No. 1 seed Regis defeated Bangor 12-3 Thursday morning in Appleton to win the WIAA Division 4 State Baseball Championship.

Bangor grabbed a 2-0 lead in the top of the first via an Ashton Michek RBI triple and Chase Horstman RBI single. Regis answered with two runs in the bottom of the first.

In the top of the second, freshman Bryce Peterson hit an RBI double for a 3-2 lead, but the Ramblers would score 10 unanswered runs by the end of the game to win the State title.

Bangor committed five errors in the loss.

The Cardinals finish the season 22-6.
