Recovering from COVID-19 can take weeks or months

ROCHESTER, Minn (WKBT) – Getting the coronavirus and surviving the virus is a major ordeal, but what about recovery from the deadly virus?
The battle to fully recover can take weeks, if not months.
COVID-19 “long-haulers” often struggle with intense fatigue, along with headaches, dizziness, and difficulty concentrating.
Doctors at Mayo Clinic have created a rehabilitation program with the goal of helping patients who are battling Post COVID Syndrome.
While these prolonged symptoms may not be extremely common, you should still be aware of post-covid symptoms.
“What I am comfortable is that this condition is not rare, by any stretch of the imagination. I think providers should be ready to hear patients that are experiencing these prolonged symptoms. And patients should seek out care if they think they are having prolonged symptoms after their acute COVID infection” said Dr. Greg Vanichkachorn, an Occupational Medical Specialist at Mayo Clinic.
