Rare December rainfall shows unusual weather in Wisconsin

La Crosse area has received about 4 inches by Sunday morning

We’re seeing some rather unseasonable weather this year: Wisconsin is getting a soaking from a rare December rainfall.

As the rain pushes into our area the National Weather Service has been issuing flood watches for southwestern, south-central, southeastern and northeastern Wisconsin. Nearly 4 inches have fallen in parts of our area, and the rain is expected to continue through Monday afternoon.

Along with this unseasonable rain many parts of the state are also seeing record-breaking temperatures. Milwaukee broke their record high for Sunday by 10 a.m.
