Rain Ending. Warm & Breezy This Afternoon.
Monday’s Forecast High: 83°F, Tonight’s Forecast Low: 69°F
Happy Meteorological Summer and Happy June 1st!
It has been a rainy start to this Monday, but the rain will be ending this afternoon. Once the clouds clear, expect warmer conditions thanks to sunshine and strong southerly winds. Highs today will be in the low 80s.
Partly cloudy and mild tonight. Still a bit breezy at times. Lows will be in the upper 60s.
Get ready for the heat to be turned up on Tuesday! We’ll see a lot of sunshine throughout the day, and highs will be in the upper 80s to low 90s.
Tuesday is an ALERT DAY. Not only for the heat, but due to the chance of severe storms during the evening and Tuesday night. A cold front will pass through our hot and muggy air causing thunderstorms after 7pm through about 1am. Some of these storms could produce damaging winds, large hail, and I can’t completely rule out an isolated tornado. Be sure to have your News8000 First Alert Weather app handy for updates!
Temperatures will cool down a bit behind the cold front on Wednesday. Highs will be in the low to mid 80s with partly sunny skies.
An isolated t-storm or two possible Thursday with highs in the mid 80s.
High temps will remain warmer than average Friday and into the weekend, topping out in the low 80s. We’ll also see a chance of showers and storms Saturday night and Sunday.
Right now, temperatures are trending very warm again early next week with highs in the upper 80s to low 90s.
Enjoy your Monday! –Michelle Poedel
