Racial Justice Workshop will help La Crosse area residents discuss impact of racism

The online workshop will start August 2nd.

LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) – An upcoming Racial Justice Workshop will help community members understand racism in its historic, institutional, structural, and political forms.

The online workshop will start on Aug. 2.

Questions will include analysis of structural racism, understanding and addressing implicit bias.

Organizers say it will help those who take part to learn what racist actions they may be taking whether they realize it or not.

“Those challengers are for you to determine your own biases, to see if you have any,” said Cecil Adams, founder and CEO of the African American Mutual Assistance Network.

Details are available on the network’s website.
