Putt’n 4 Pooches raises funds for La Crosse Police K9s

A La Crosse golf course is going to the dogs.

The 10th Annual Putt’n 4 Pooches Golf Outing and Fundraiser was Monday at Forest Hills Golf Course in La Crosse.

Money raised at the event will go toward new equipment and training for the five K9s in the department, along with their handlers.

140 golfers tee’d up for the event.

So many golfers participated, extra golf carts were need for the event.

The community response is appreciated by the department’s officers.

“The community turnout that we get every year, not only for this, but for other events and things that people show up and like I said, just people coming up to us is great,” said La Crosse Police K-9 officer Dakota Jelinski.

After golf, a reception including door prizes, raffles and a silent auction was held.
