Program looks to help provide renovation help for new home owners

Another loan option is available for new home owners in Wisconsin looking to renovate.

The Home Style Renovation program launched in La Crosse Monday.

The program is operated by the Wisconsin Housing Economic Development Authority.

The loan provides funds for a qualifying home buyers to purchase and renovate a home.

The hope of the program is to make buying existing homes a more attractive option.

“A lot of times those fix up costs are pretty prohibitive, if there is roof problems or a garage problem or different physical problems with the house,” said WHEDA Chief Operating Officer Brian Schimming.

More information about the program is at the Wisconsin Housing and Economic Development Authority’s website,
