PRIDE in the Park fills Riverside with rainbows
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — The 7 Rivers LGBTQ Connection hosted PRIDE in the Park in downtown La Crosse Saturday.
The free event featured music, merchants, and food and beverage vendors — including Pearl Street Brewery.
“The first year we were at Cameron Park, and we kind of outgrew that. So then we’ve been — this is our fourth year at Riverside Park: nice, spread out so we can have lots of venders and all kids of space for people,” said Alesha Schandelmeier, the executive director of The Center: 7 Rivers LGBTQ Connection.
The 7 Rivers LGBTQ Connection is holding La Crosse PRIDE events all week long, including a PRIDE Family Picnic in Copeland Park Sunday at 11:00 a.m. and a movie night on Monday in Cameron Park at 5:00 p.m. The week’s events lead to a ‘So You Think You Can Drag’ show at the La Crosse Center on Friday at 9:00 p.m.
