Presidential campaigns owe La Crosse for police overtime
Clinton, Trump campaigns still owe city
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — The La Crosse Police Department is still waiting on payments for campaign stop security.
According to the city’s Police Department, both the Trump and Clinton Campaigns still owe the city money for police overtime. Each campaign stop to La Crosse during the 2016 Presidential Election, required additional security from local law enforcement.
The Hillary Clinton campaign still owes the city for a visit from V.P. pick Tim Kaine, and stops from President Trump and V.P. Mike Pence left the two with an outstanding balance.
House Speaker Paul Ryan also owes the city $225 for his stop during a bus tour.
