Prescription drug take back effort coming Saturday in La Crosse, nationwide
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — A drug takeback day will give people the chance get rid of unwanted prescription drugs.
National Take Back Day is Saturday throughout the country.
Six million Americans misused prescription drugs in 2017, according to the National Survey on Drug Use and Health.
The majority of those drugs came from family or friends.
The La Crosse County Health and Human Services Department is hosting a take back event at the La Crosse County Health Department on 4th Street in La Crosse.
Take back events will be held in Campbell, La Crescent and Winona as well.
