Prairie du Chien falters in 2nd half to fall to Nekoosa

In Level 2 of the WIAA football playoffs Thursday, Prairie du Chien let a halftime lead slip away that resulted in a 40-28 home loss to Nekoosa.

Without top running back Bradyn Saint, the Blackhawks netted just 45 rushing yards on offense, while the Papermakers amassed 439 yards on the ground.

Prairie du Chien’s best play came in the first half when Maddox Cejka found Jon Nicholson in the back of the end zone for a toe-tap touchdown reception.
