Power outage reported at Dane County Regional Airport
MADISON, Wis. (WISC) — Officials at the Dane County Regional Airport say they are investigating reports of a power outage Monday morning.
Multiple people arriving at the airport for flights Monday morning are telling News 3 that the lights are off at the airport. MG&E is reporting an outage at the airport on their outage map, saying a crew is responding. They’re estimating the power will be back on by 10:15 a.m.
Officials at the Dane County Regional Airport say the power failure is in the airport’s terminal, but is not affecting the airfield. The airport anticipated that delays at TSA checkpoints could be possible while the outage is ongoing, but does not expect the outage to affect flight times.
Airport officials say the outage is related to a generator that did not turn on. MG&E crews will investigate the source of the failure.
News 3 has a crew on the way to the airport and will provide more updates as information becomes available.
