Potter’s big night gives Wisconsin win at Maryland

Micah Potter scored 23 points to lead No. 14 Wisconsin to a 61-55 road win at Maryland Wednesday night.

Potter was the focal point offensively from start to finish. By halftime, he nearly had a double-double with 14 points and eight rebounds. He finished the evening shooting 8-of-12 with 12 rebounds. Only one other Badger–D’Mitrik Trice–scored in double figures.

Both teams struggled offensively, with both teams shooting under 40 percent.

Wisconsin benefited from cold Maryland shooting to hold an 18-point lead at halftime. The Badgers went cold themselves in the second half and didn’t score a field goal in the final seven minutes of the game.
