Police are looking for a black Chevy Traverse or Equinox SUV
HOLMEN, Wis. -Police are still searching for a driver of a vehicle who fired a gun during a road rage incident in Holmen.
Police received a “shots fired” call on Friday night on highway 157 near Holmen.
They say a man and his girlfriend were driving north when they cut off a man behind the wheel of a black Chevrolet.
The Chevy began tailgating the couple and flashing his headlights.
The couple eventually got off the highway and approached a stop sign leading to County Road OT.
That’s when the driver of the Chevy pulled out a gun and shot three times into the couple’s car before driving away.
The couple was not injured and police are still looking for the suspect.
“A lot of folks have external cameras and if they could have possibly caught anything on 53 in that time frame, it would be a huge help,” said Holmen Police Department investigator Crystal Nordby.
Holmen Police are looking for black Chevy Traverse or Equinox SUV with tinted windows.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Holmen Police Department at (608) 526-4212, or La Crosse Area Crimestoppers at (608) 784-TIPS (8477).
