Philanthropists honored at event in La Crosse
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — People that have made an impact in our community are being recognized in La Crosse.
The Association of Fundraising Professionals’ Upper Mississippi Valley Chapter hosted a recognition lunch Friday.
People and organizations that have given back over the past year were honored.
The event comes during National Philanthropy Day.
And It isn’t just the people that raise money that are making an impact.
“Philanthropy could also be doing a food drive or volunteering, it can be for as young as a toddler all the way up to individuals who have been here for a while,” said Rose Dobbs, AFP Upper Mississippi Valley president.
The event has been going on in La Crosse for more than 30 years.
