Periods Of Showers & T-Storms Likely Tonight -Bill Graul
Much Cooler & Less Humid Wednesday!
Tonight’s Forecast Low: 65F / Wednesday’s Forecast High: 70F…
A frontal boundary is slowly sinking south across the region this evening, sparking periods of showers and t-storms. Some of the storms were severe this afternoon with strong wind gusts around 55+ mph… causing tree damage in parts of La Crosse, Winona, Buffalo, Trempealeau & Clark counties. Very heavy rain fell with some of the storms as well, causing urban and street flooding in spots.
ALERT NIGHT: Expect periods of showers and storms to continue tonight and some could still be strong through about 10 p.m. Locally heavy rain is possible if storms track over the same areas. This could result in some minor flooding issues. Temps will drop into the low-mid 60s in most areas overnight.
Lingering showers Wednesday morning. Otherwise, much cooler and less humid with highs only in the upper 60s to around 70F. Winds will turn around to the north around 5-15 mph. Partly sunny and pleasant Thursday with highs in the mid-upper 70s and low humidity.
Looking Ahead… Chance of showers and t-storms Friday with highs in the upper 70s. Saturday is looking mainly dry, with highs in the low 80s, then just isolated t-showers possible Sunday with highs around 80F.
Slight to isolated chances for showers and t-storms next Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Temps look to gradually warm from around 80F Monday… into the mid-upper 80s by the middle of the week.
Have a good night, but stay extra weather aware… just in case. -Bill Graul
