Pearl Street Brewery offering free pints, half-off packs to furloughed workers
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — Even as the Pearl Street Brewery feels the impact of the shutdown it’s still trying to help federal workers currently going without pay.
Furloughed employees can stop by the brewery for a free pint during the shutdown and walk out the door with discounted 6-packs and growlers. Pearl Street says it’s a way to give back to those who have helped the brewery grow its brand and products since 1999.
“The root of that comes from the support that we get from not just the City of La Crosse but the entire surrounding, local community and the Coulee Region, really gets behind Pearl Street Brewery, and they have for 20 years now. So for me giving back to that community makes sense.”
Pearl Street says the reduced prices will last until the government reopens.
