Passengers, dog rescued after boats capsize on La Crosse River
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — Multiple boaters and a dog were rescued from the La Crosse River on Sunday afternoon.
The La Crosse Fire Department was dispatched to the scene at 3:23 p.m. for a boater in distress, according to a press release.
Upon arrival, first responders found six boaters and dog that were in distress. Three out of four boats had capsized.
Everyone involved in the incident was brought to shore safely by Fire Department personnel. No injuries were reported.
The Fire Department brought three boats to the scene. The La Crosse Police Department and Tri-State Ambulance also responded to the incident.
