Parade Marshal hosts annual Oktoberfest Pancake Breakfast

LA CROSSE (WKBT) — For the last day of Oktoberfest, many started out their day with a breakfast with friends. The Parade Marshal Pancake Breakfast fed over 600 people Sunday morning.

People could enjoy all-you-can-eat pancakes, sausage and orange juice.

The event is a time-honored-tradition. It gives the community another chance to come together.

“It’s about the event and bringing the community together. Oktoberfest is a community-wide event, and it gives the community a chance to participate in Oktoberfest,” said Dave Clements, the 2007 Maple Leaf parade marshal.

That event is put on at the Terry Erickson Boys and Girls club in north La Crosse.

Dave Clements says every table was full in the early morning– and it was great to see the community come out.

The event serves as a fundraiser for both the Oktoberfest parade marshals and the North La Crosse Business Association.
