Packers’ Driver adds teammates in charity game
APPLETON, Wis. (AP) — Veteran Green Bay Packers wide receiver Donald Driver has three more big commitments to his annual charity softball game.
A representative of Driver says that linebacker Clay Matthews, cornerback Charles Woodson, tight end Jermichael Finley and dozens more teammates have committed to the June 5 contest.
It’s the fourth year of the softball game Driver hosts between the team’s offense and defense. It’s played at Time Warner Field in Appleton, the home of the Class-A Wisconsin Timber Rattlers.
Money raised from the event helps several charities, including Special Olympics, Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin and Goodwill.
