Overnight Truck Fire in Onalaska

Cleanup is underway, incident is being investigated

ONALASKA, Wis. (WKBT) – Just after 1 a.m. Friday morning, multiple semi-truck-tankers started on fire near the Mathy Construction Company in Onalaska.

The Onalaska Fire Department, Police Department, and Tri-State Ambulance responded to the incident.

Surrounding buildings and streets were evacuated while crews worked to contain the fire and assess the risk.

According to the Onalaska Fire Department, there are currently no reported injuries, and the fire was out in twenty minutes.

Residents were allowed back in their homes around 1:30 a.m.
