One teen killed, 2 others seriously injured in Fillmore County car vs. semi crash
One teen died and two others suffered life threatening injuries in a car vs. semi crash yesterday in Fillmore County.
According to a crash report on the Minnesota State Patrol website, on Wednesday, January 1, around 10:19 a.m., a car was attempting to make a left turn onto Highway 44 when it collided with a semi coming from the opposite direction. The incident took place at the intersection of Highway 44 and Lyndale Street N. with dry road conditions.
The driver of the car, Lauren, E. Bedard, 19, of Houston suffered life-threatening injuries and was taken to an area hospital. One passenger, Spencer Douglas, 17, from Mabel also sustained life threatening injuries and was taken to a health care facility. A second passenger, Dylan A. Delaney, 17 of Mabel was killed in the crash.
Perry L. Omodt, the driver of the semi, was not injured.
