One-on-one with the White House senior advisor for COVID-19 response

Dr. Tom Inglesby says the Biden administration is moving into a new phase of pandemic response

WASHINGTON, D.C. (WKBT)- The White House is moving to a new phase of pandemic response. According to the CDC, the number of new cases, hospitalizations, and deaths are all falling. And more Americans continue to get vaccinated.

In a one-on-one with News 8 Now, the White House’s senior advisor for COVID-19 response says the nation is more prepared for this pandemic than ever before. “We’re going to focus on protecting against and treating COVID and hopefully getting people back to their normal routine. At the same time, we are preparing for the possibility of a surge in the future. We hope that doesn’t come but we are ready if it does, ” says Dr. Tom Inglesby.

Dr. Ingelsby says more than 70-million households have ordered free, at-home COVID-19 tests kits. Beginning the week of March 7th, Americans will be allowed to place a second order.
