One of the alleged shooters in Sparta man’s death pleads not guilty
MONROE COUNTY, Wis. (WKBT) – A man allegedly involved in the June 11th killing of a 61-year-old Sparta man plead not guilty in Monroe County Court via Zoom on Monday.
Eric Borges, 32, of Milwaukee was arrested on August 12th in Milwaukee in connection with the killing of Anthony Koopman during an armed robbery in Sparta.
Borges is facing charges for party to a crime of felony murder, armed robbery, and distribution of methamphetamine.
Two other people were also arrested in connection to the murder.
In August the Monroe County Court ordered a $2 million cash bond with conditions for Borges.
His next court date is planned for sometime in November.
