One Last Muggy Night With Just Isolated Storms -Bill Graul
Less Humid & Not Quite As Hot This Weekend
Tonight’s Forecast Low: 69F / Saturday’s Forecast High: 87F…
Just barely, but yet another record high was set at the La Crosse airport today. This makes 5 record highs since last Friday… and 9 days in a row reaching 90F or hotter! Whew!
A cool front, along with outflow boundaries from storms earlier today, will keep a slight chance for a few showers and t-storms in the forecast this evening and into part of tonight. Otherwise, expect one more really mild and muggy night with lows mainly in the 60s, perhaps close to 70F in the La Crosse area.
Partly to mostly sunny for Saturday, but the good news is winds will turn around to the N/NW around 5-20 mph… ushering in less humid air. It also won’t be as hot, with highs mainly in the 80s. Sunday will be pretty toasty with highs in the upper 80s to low 90s, but humidity will be fairly low. Overall, it should be a really nice weekend for outdoor plans!
Looking Ahead… Next Monday through Wednesday looks dry at this point, with partly cloudy to mostly sunny skies. Temps will be seasonably warm, with highs in the mid 80 common. Humidity should remain fairly low as well.
The next chance for rain looks to come around Thursday, with a chance for some scattered showers and storms. A few showers could linger into part of Friday as well. It will be warmer and a bit more humid Thursday, with highs in the low 90s. High temps will then drop back into the mid 80s Friday and perhaps upper 70s to around 80F next Saturday. Overnight lows next week will be in the 50s and 60s, with lower humidity, making for more comfortable sleeping weather than we saw this past week.
Happy Friday evening… and have a great weekend! -Bill Graul
