One injured after a single car crash in Monroe County

The crash remains under investigation by the Monroe County Sheriff's Office although alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash

A South Dakota man was injured in the Township of LaGrange after a one vehicle crash early Sunday morning. 

Monroe County Sheriff, Scott Perkins, said 21 year old, Keanu Wright, of Tomah drove his 2000 Chevrolet Cavalier into a ditch after he failed to negotiate a curve in the road.

The car traveled through the ditch before striking some trees. Wright’s passenger, 21 year old Dion Wright of Rapid City, South Dakota, was transported to Tomah Memorial Hospital with serious, but non-life threatening injuries. 

The crash remains under investigation by the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office although alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash.
