One dead following police chase that ends in Onalaska

Chase began in Holmen

ONALASKA, Wis. (WKBT) – One person is dead following a crash overnight.

Holmen Police attempted to stop a motorcycle on Wolfe Drive around 11:20 p.m. Sunday night.

The officer pursued the driver as they drove south on Sand Lake Road into Onalaska, before continuing onto East Avenue.

An Onalaska officer then responded to a two-vehicle crash involving the motorcycle a short time later at the intersection of East Aenue and Riders Club Road.

The driver and passenger, whose names are not being released, were both ejected from the motorcycle.

The driver was taken to a local hospital, where they died from their injuries.

The passenger sustained serious injuries, but was last known to be in stable condition.

The condition of the pick up driver involved in the crash was not released.
