Onalaska students donate $1,000 to Rotary Afghan Fund

ONALASKA, Wis. (WKBT) – Students from Onalaska High School’s Interact Club are helping Afghans at Fort McCoy.
The students presented $1,000 in donations this morning to support the Wisconsin Afghan Fund.
Money was raised during a ‘miracle minute’ at a football game.
The experience is reminding students how connected people can be.
“It’s far away and local because we have these refugees coming. But they’re coming here to Wisconsin. And so it’s even more important to help,” said Onalaska High School senior Jessica Randall.
Donations for the fund can be made here.
