Onalaska still searching for City Administrator
Position opened a year ago
ONALASKA, Wis. (WKBT) — Onalaska city officials say they are still looking to fill a new City Administrator position that has been vacant for about a year.
A city council vote at the end of 2015 changed the city’s mayoral position to part-time in favor of hiring a city administrator to take over many of the mayoral duties.
Onalaska Mayor Joe Chilsen says the city is well on their way to filling the position.
“After we’ve revised the job requirements we’re taking applications and the council is hoping to have someone on board as soon as we can,” said Mayor Chilsen.
City Administrator duties range from planning and zoning responsibilities, to budget, financial and economic development responsibilities.
Mayor Chilsen says he expects the City Administrator position to be filled within the next two months.
