Onalaska man facing charges in West Salem shooting incident

An Onalaska man is facing multiple charges following a weekend shooting incident in West Salem.

According to West Salem police, on Saturday, October 26, 2019, a shooting happened in the area of the 500 block of Brickl Road in West Salem. One person was treated for a gunshot wound at a La Crosse hospital and released. Police say it was an isolated incident.

Wednesday, October 30, Curtis Green, 39, from Onalaska, was arrested and charged with one count of first degree reckless injury, three counts of first degree recklessly endangering safety, one count of endanger safety by use of a dangerous weapon and one count of felon in possession of a firearm.

Assisting the West Salem Police Department were the La Crosse County Sheriff’s Office, La Crosse City Police Department, Onalaska Police Department, Holmen Police Department, Monroe County Sheriff’s Office, Sparta Police Department and Houston County Sheriff’s Office.
