Onalaska co-op wins 4 OT thriller

When Onalaska co-op’s Jacyn Reeves put the Hilltoppers up 4-1 early in the 3rd period, the last thing fans expected would be an overtime thriller. But Kettle Moraine, behind a pair of goals from Morgan Hollowell, came back to tie the game at 4-4 forcing overtime.

The Hilltoppers peppered the night for the first three extra periods without any luck. They ended up with 24 shots on goal in overtime before the game-winner. Two minutes into the 4th overtime period,Baylee Darling behind the net made a great pass to Theresa Knutson as she scored her 3rd goal of the game.

The hat trick from Knutson helps move the Onalaska co-op into Saturday’s state championship game where they will take on D.C. Everest.
