Northside students learn about high school life during ‘Operation: Exploration’

Dozens of La Crosse 5th graders got a taste of their high school futures.

The Logan High School Rotary Interact Club showed dozens of Northside students what their high school futures could include for Thursday’s ‘Operation: Exploration’ event.

The day showed off Logan High School classes, programs, and clubs. The nearly 70 5th graders also met with Logan students and teachers to hear about their experiences in high school.

“It encourages them just to stay in high school, to show them education is an important part of their life and that they should stay with it because if they get an education it’ll make them way successful in the future. We just want to show them that it’s important to come to school and learn things and have fun,” said Interact Club Co-President Merideth Quarberg.

Members of Logan High School’s Rotary Interact Club also shared their plans for after high school with the visiting 5th graders.
