Nominations open for La Crosse Urban Stormwater Group’s ‘Soak It Up!’ awards
LA CROSSE (WKBT) – Nominations for projects that reduce water runoff on area properties are now open.
The La Crosse Urban Stormwater Group’s Soak It Up! awards celebrate community members and their landscaping projects that help curtail flooding and water damage from rain and melting snow.
Nominations for runoff reduction projects are open to any citizen. All projects that reduce the negative effects of stormwater runoff in the towns of Campbell, Holland and Onalaska, villages of Holmen, Shelby and West Salem, and cities of La Crescent, La Crosse and Onalaska) can also be nominated.
