No one injured in Saturday night fire on La Crosse’s south side
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — No one was hurt in a garage fire that happened Saturday night on the south side of La Crosse.
Around 9 PM, the La Crosse Fire Department was dispatched to a home on the 1500 block of Travis Street.
According to the Fire Department, when they got there, they found a garage engulfed in flames behind a residence.
Live power lines made it difficult to fight the fire, but they were able to control it quickly.
Xcel energy arrived to turn off power and gas lines.
Tri-State ambulance was also there.
No one was home at the time, neighbors called it in.
The Fire Department says there was a boat inside the garage.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
