No major change to Oktoberfest behavior
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — Oktoberfest is over and it appears festers behaved the same as in previous years.
Approximately 150 people were ticketed for underaged drinking in La Crosse this past weekend.
Nine people were fined for public urination and two tickets were given for violating the “social hosting” ordinance.
La Crosse Police say their goal is always the same.
“Our goal is to enforce what we need to ensure the safety and the general livability of the neighborhoods,” said Captain Jason Melby of the La Crosse Police Department.
Gundersen Health System saw 30 people in their Emergency Room from Friday to Sunday.
Mayo Clinic Health System did not provide specific numbers, but said they did see patients with alcohol related issues, but nothing out of line for a typical weekend.
