No injuries after shots fired behind Adams Street Pub in La Crosse

Police say there is no immediate danger to the public

No one was hurt after shots were fired behind Adams Street Pub in La Crosse Sunday night.

La Crosse Police Department Sergeant Tim O’Neill said shots were fired around 9:45 p.m. near 11th and Adams Street on May 24.  Police said the bullets went through a black sedan’s window that was in a parking lot behind Adams Street Pub.

News 8 talked to a bartender at Adams Street Pub who said patrons ran inside after hearing about five gunshots and then they locked the door. Sgt. O’Neill said there is no immediate danger to the public.

As of Tuesday morning, La Crosse police were still looking for three witnesses from the bar that were on video and did not stay.

Because of all of the traffic at the time of the incident, police said it is possible that the shots came from a passing car.
