No charges in officer involved shooting in Leon
SPARTA, Wis. (WKBT) — No charges will be filed in a Monroe County officer involved shooting incident.
The Monroe County District Attorney announced that the actions of law enforcement were lawful and reasonable acts of defense of others.
32-year-old Michael Lee Nguyen was shot by Monroe County Sheriff’s Deputies and a Sparta Police officer during the incident outside the Cotter Pin Restaurant and Bar in the town of Leon.
Nguyen later died at a hospital.
No law enforcement were injured during the incident.
