Second person accuses Onalaska restaurant owner of sexual misconduct

EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WKBT) - More information has been made available regarding two new sexual assault charges against the owner of an Onalaska restaurant.

According to an updated criminal complaint, another law enforcement agency contacted the Eau Claire Police Department about a former employee of the restaurant accusing Rivera of attempted sexual assault. The person worked at Manny's in Eau Claire in April 2016. She told police Rivera and the bar manager made unwanted sexual advances and Rivera touched her inappropriately after they had a couple glasses wine during closing time. Rivera is facing a charge of attempted second degree sexual assault in this incident.

In May 2019, an employee at the Eau Claire location says Rivera touched her inappropriately and made unwanted sexual advances during closing time when it was just her and Rivera in the restaurant. Rivera is charged in this incident with third degree sexual assault and second degree sexual assault.

Rivera, who also goes by Manny or Manuel, has denied anything inappropriate happened in any of the charges.
