Onalaska business competes for "Small Business Person of the Year"

MILWAUKEE (WKBT) - An Onalaska business is competing among several other companies statewide for "Small Business Person of the Year".

Dynamic Recycling of Onalaska was nominated by Mike Dieckman of Wisconsin Business Development, according to a news release. 

Dynamic has grown as a leader in the recycling industry, focused on IT asset disposition, electronics recycling, scrap purchasing, and data security corporation with locations in Onalaska and Nashville, Tennessee.

The winner will be announced in late March and recognized at a breakfast on Friday, May 4 from 7 to 11:30 a.m. at the Milwaukee Marriott West in Waukesha.

The state's "Small Business Person of the Year" goes on to compete for the national title.

An award ceremony is co-hosted by SCORE Southeast Wisconsin, a nonprofit offering workshops and mentoring to startups and existing small businesses, and the Wisconsin District Office of the Small Business Administration (SBA).

The celebration of small business success in Wisconsin will include Keynote Speaker Carl Rick, leadership development specialist and third-generation spokesman for Kwik Trip. He will offer insight on the company’s impressive growth, how to retain employees, and share future plans for expansion.

Following the ceremony, attendees are invited to attend a series of workshops:
