LA CROSSE(WKBT)-- Moms weren't the only ones celebrating on Sunday.
Hundreds of UW La Crosse students walked across the stage for commencement. Friends and family packed into the La Crosse Center to see the UWL Eagles in their caps and gowns.Â
This was the school's 113th commencement. The event was broken into three ceremonies by major.Â
News 8 Now spoke to some students from the college of health and sciences who share what their plans are after graduation and what they miss most about UWL.Â
"Definitely the commodity and hanging out with my friends," Dominic Gabrielli says. "The night life is awesome."
Other graduates including Kaitlyn Bechtel will be heading to Minnesota where they already have a job.Â
"I'll miss the atmosphere of having everyone around me of all my friends," Bechtel explains. "I got a job at Mayo Clinic in Rochester in the bacteriology lab."
UW-Madison also had its commencement ceremonies this weekend.
And next weekend, UW-Eau Claire students will be honored.
