West Salem High School announces new Principal

WEST SALEM, Wis. (WKBT) - On March 22 the West Salem School Board appointed Mike Malott as Principal of West Salem High School.

Malott served as interim principal since August of 2017, according to Superintendent Troy Gunderson.

The district received 36 applicants for the position.

Malott became a Physical Education teacher at West Salem High School in 1994 after teaching at Waterford High School and in 2012 he became the Associate Principal in West Salem.

Malott earned his bachelor's degree at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse and a master's degree in Educational Leadership at Viterbo University.

New applicants for the Associate Principal position are now being accepted.
