HOLMEN, Wis. (WKBT)- Students at Holmen High School are learning real-life lessons about business and compassion.
Each year a group of seniors learns about entrepreneurship by running their own store.
The Chalet opened inside Holmen High School Wednesday night.
This year a record 27 vendors agreed to sell their products in The Chalet.
Students created the business plan, and marketing campaign, and chose to donate their profits to a community member.
Mike Hicke has been battling cancer for more than 10 years. “I just really want to see the community get together to support Mike and his family because they’ve really been through a lot. Everything we can have just helps a lot,” says student Kyler Wall.
The Chalet is open now through December 21st from 3 pm to 7 pm on weekdays and 10 am to 4 pm on Saturdays.
