$60 million referendum goes on April 4th ballot

LA CROSSE (WKBT)-- The La Crosse School District's $60 million referendum will be on the ballot in April.

A combination of a lack of state funding, declining enrollment, and aging facilities has led to the district asking taxpayers for more support.

Anna is very excited to be joining the WKBT family! Originally from Marshfield, WI, Anna is heading into her last semester as a college undergraduate student at UW-La Crosse. She is the Social Justice Reporter for UWL's student-run newspaper, and is also involved in a number of other on-campus extracurriculars. Anna is studying Communications with an emphasis in Public Communication & Advocacy, and will be receiving her BA this coming May. She also interned with ABC at WXOW News 19 in La Crescent, MN last summer and hopes to continue building her skills as a Multimedia Journalist at News 8000.   Hobbies: Cooking, binge watching shows, hanging out with friends   Hidden talent: I've been playing trumpet since 5th grade   Family: Mom, dad, brother named Kevin, 3 cats named Jabba, Luna, and Dobby   Favorite movie: Mrs. Doubtfire   Future goals: I hope to move out of state (hopefully somewhere warmer!) and start as a full-time Multimedia Journalist/Reporter, and also adopt a cat.
